Elmer William Bachman
Elmer Bachman. Elmer was born and raised in Fresno, California. He served in the US Coast Guard during World War Two, although did he not experience live combat. He served on the USS Hunter Liggett and was deployed to the Pacific, particularly to secure the island of Guam, which was recently liberated from Japanese occupation. He also spent some time stationed in Fort Bragg, California, looking for enemy submarines along the California coast. Elmer passed away in 2013.
Also serving in the military were brothers Richard and Melvin.
